Gmail

In the current app, Gmail supports mail search, reading, drafting, sending, and replying to existing threads.

Currently supported mail actions

  • Search incoming mail with structured filters and natural language requests.
  • Read message bodies and inspect thread context before replying.
  • Prepare a new draft and review it before you send it.
  • Reply to an existing thread with either a draft or a direct send action.
  • Use body translation and writing assistance together with Gmail workflows.

Example requests

Show me only the urgent unread mail from today.
Find the message that included last week's invoice.
Draft a launch announcement to support@company.com.
Reply to Kim's latest email and promise delivery by Friday morning.
Rewrite this email body in English as a cleaner reply.

Default sender and multiple accounts

  • Changing the selected account from the Google card overflow menu also changes the active default sender for Gmail.
  • If you do not specify an account, Gmail actions use the current default account first.
  • When multiple accounts are connected, it is safer to name the intended account in the request.

Notes

Draft first for important outbound mail

The current app supports both draft preparation and direct send. For sensitive mail, asking for a draft first is the safer operating pattern.

  • Gmail can be blocked independently when its required scopes are missing, even if the Google account still appears on the card.
  • If no active default account is available, Gmail requests fail with guidance to check the Google connection from the Channels hub.
